We have such a fun wedding to share with you today! Jessy and Nick have been together since their senior year of high school and their Tavares Pavilion wedding was the culmination of a love story years in the making. Their blue and burgundy color palette was inspired by Jessy’s love for red wine which we adore. Their Florida wedding venue which is built completely over the lake created the perfect backdrop and plenty of AC for the hot summer day!
Here’s a funny little inside story and some planning advice…
We found out our best man’s suit didn’t 3 days before the wedding! It took a few hours of phone calls and driving down to Orlando the day the boys were supposed to have their bachelor party, but we ended up getting a suit that fit! You can plan everything you want ahead of time, but something will always go wrong – no matter how big or small. It’s how you react to the situation that determines how big of a deal it is.
Incredible advice! There’s simply no way to plan for everything, but if you can handle it as a team like Jessy and Nick, there’s nothing you can’t achieve.
Both Jessy and Nick said their favorite memory from the day was seeing each other down the aisle. These two were determined not to see each other before the ceremony and we managed to keep them separated successfully! Nick assured his groomsmen as they got ready that he thought he’d be able to keep it together when Jessy came down the aisle. The joke’s on him! There were instant tears when he saw his gorgeous bride walking towards him. We absolutely love a couple who just lets the feelings flow!
Some of the most beautiful moments on a wedding day are the unplanned ones. At the end of Jessy and Nick’s ceremony, Pastor Bob Walker made an unplanned announcement to their guests. He got very emotional as he revealed to everyone that Jessy and Nick had written their incredible ceremony from start to finish. Pastor Bob said he had never read such a touching ceremony and was overcome with emotion as he had performed the ceremony. How adorable is that?!
Jessy’s advice for brides planning their wedding now is certainly something we agree with!
Plan as much as you can ahead of time, and then whatever happens the day of, let it happen. I’m an OCD, type A control freak. Most of my wedding was planned after 1 month of being engaged. I made sure every detail I could possibly think of was accounted for and then the day of the wedding, I just rolled with anything that happened.
Yes yes yes! There is no way to plan for everything that might happen on your wedding day, but if you can focus on enjoying your big day with the people you love the most, it’s guaranteed to be successful! Jessy and Nick’s Tavares lakeside wedding was truly beautiful and we were so happy to be a small part of it. We can’t wait to see where life takes you, Dr. and Mr. Gutschick!
