Natalie & Chris | Howey Mansion Wedding

From the moment I met with Natalie and her family I knew her and Chris’ Howie Mansion wedding would be one to remember! They have a history of throwing awesome parties and this was certainly no exception. It was truly a day full of laughs, inside jokes, tears of happiness.

What made your wedding stand out from the crowd?

The most unique thing about our wedding was just how “us” it felt. it truly felt like our personalities were able to shine through every aspect. From getting to prank Chris during the first look to cracking jokes at the ceremony to surprising our guests with our first dance and then surprising our moms with their own dance. it was a perfect blend of romantic, emotional, hilarious, and beautiful.

We also felt like our venue made the event so unique. I was dreading the idea of having a typical ballroom wedding but with the Howey Mansion as the venue, it was very far from typical. From having the prohibition room downstairs, to the dining room full of desserts to dinner in the courtyard, it was magical.

Favorite moment of the day…

So many favorite moments it’s hard to narrow it down but I think the ceremony was so memorable. We were scared it would be too long and boring but it was one of the most fun parts of the day.

Also, nailing our first dance was amazing. We basically had a dance boot camp at Arthur Murray and learned the whole thing a week before the wedding. It was also great we got to honor Chris’ grandfather, Frank, with a little Frank Sinatra on that day, he passed on the 18th after the wedding.

Also surprising our moms with dance was a huge accomplishment. We did not think we were going to pull that off. Between Linda asking Chris and suggesting songs for them to dance and Natacha yelling at me once a week to let Linda dance with Chris, it was almost impossible to keep it a secret. It was also so special having Marcela sing that song. Another big moment for me was having my MOH be my MOA… when she put on my crown it was the first of many emotional moments.
