“Happily Ever After” is the perfect way to sum up Alisha and Josh’s Mission Inn Resort wedding. These two share an epic love for Disney which was the inspiration for a lot of their day. From hidden Mickeys in bouquets to Enchanted Roses as centerpieces, the day was truly magical.
One of our favorite moments of a wedding day is this split second of exchange, when a bride’s father is figuratively and literally passing his daughter over to her new husband. ALL the feels.
Josh’s favorite moment of the day:
My favorite moment was getting to marry my favorite person. I enjoyed every moment and especially watching how happy my bride was throughout the entire event.
Alisha’s favorite moment of the day:
My favorite moment was receiving the gift that Josh made me. He made a scrapbook of every moment of our relationship that he had clearly been working on for years. He kept tickets, letters, and mementos from everywhere we have ever been. He also included letters from all of our family members. Apparently when he asked my parents if he could marry me he showed them the scrapbook that he had already been working on to show them that he knew from Day 1 that I was the one he was going to marry.
This scrapbook was legendary. It was at least 6 inches thick and clearly made with such love and intention. Easily one of the most romantic gifts we’ve ever seen! Josh is killing the Prince Charming game!
If you’re a Disney fanatic you’ve probably spent a lot of time on the hunt for Hidden Mickeys during your park adventures. Alisha and Josh’s Mission Inn Resort wedding had their very own Hidden Mickeys in the bouquets made by Alisha’s cousin.
We are going to play our very own version, but with a different animal… Alisha’s favorite animal is the giraffe so their officiant suprised them with a stuffed one that was 4 foot tall. How many pictures can you find with the giraffe in it?! (Hint: you’ve already seen one…)
Josh’s dad provided gorgeous poinsettia plants for their Mission Inn Resort wedding that were placed all around the fountain near their ceremony. It was the perfect surprise addition that brought even more of that holiday spirit out. We even got to bring one home at the end of the night! Just the sweetest couple with the best families.
Disney was a major inspiration for their song choices throughout the day. Alisha and her dad started their dance out with Cinderella, but that quickly took a surprise turn when they busted out into the full Soulja Boy dance. Alisha’s dad used to do that dance for her and her high school volleyball team when he was their coach to make them cheer up. It was amazing!
If you are ever looking for a live band for your own wedding or event, we cannot recommend NoFilter Band enough. This was our second wedding with them and they are spectacular. They come with their very own stage, light truss, video screen, and an insane amount of talent. They play songs straight through to another, and keep the dance floor full for HOURS. Live music was very important to Josh and Alisha and they made an excellent choice with this band!
You know we love a dramatic night shot!!! The wrought iron gate provided excellent inspiration and fun shadows to play with at their Mission Inn Resort wedding.
Alisha’s advice for brides planning now:
Enjoy every moment – it goes by faster than you could ever imagine.
These two clearly enjoyed their Mission Inn Resort wedding and did an excellent job making sure their friends and family had a blast too. Heck, even we had the best time! Congratulations to you, Mr. & Mrs. Wintersdorf! We can’t wait to see where your “Happily Ever After” takes you!

PS – how many giraffes did you find?!
