Jenna and Sean wanted their Winter Park wedding to be a reflection of who they are as a couple, and they certainly did not disappoint! Every once in awhile we have couples that we don’t get the opportunity to meet before their wedding day. Jenna and Sean were one of those couples, but after their wedding, we absolutely feel like we know so much about them! They meticulously saved up and planned for their perfect day and not one single detail went unnoticed. Their day was romantic, silly, vibrant, and full of love.
One of Jenna’s favorite things about their wedding was,
I loved how our wedding was full of surprises! From surprising my dad with a 30th anniversary dance to the flaming donuts station at the end of the night. We wanted different and unexpected.
Jenna and Sean were so thoughtful with every decision they made for their Winter Park wedding. The gifts they chose for their wedding party and parents were incredibly personal and sweet. They managed to think of everyone else and really payed homage to the people in their lives who helped shape them.
How SWEET are these two?!
Casa Feliz was also a huge inspiration for Jenna and Sean’s Winter Park wedding. Jenna said,
The red brick, the blue shutters, the floral and greenery was just so beautiful and we wanted it to be cohesive. The over all feeling we wanted was a breath of fresh air so I chose my dress to be a flowy material to reflect the breeze, as did the raining floral. I also chose the bridesmaids dresses and the napkins to be a nod at Casa’s Blue shutters.
Sean’s favorite moment of the day:
It’s hard to just pick a single moment from such a big event! I’d have to say seeing Jenna coming down the aisle was the top for me. She was so beautiful and I was so happy, it was one of the few times I’ve ever gotten teary-eyed. Other favorites from the evening were singing to Jenna during our first dance, dancing like Angus Young with everyone and singing Bon Jovi with her mother and my brother. It was also great knowing how well the whole thing actually went and seeing everyone having a great time during such a wonderful night.
Jenna’s favorite moment of the day:
So many favorites its hard to just choose a few! Seeing Sean during 1st look and him telling me how beautiful I looked. I was filled with so much excitement and love that the world just kinda disappeared for a moment. Hearing Sean’s emotional vows made my cry and of course he pulls out a handkerchief that he had embroidered with “For your happy tears on our best day ever”. I loved how my dad introduced us for the first time as husband and wife. And how at the end of the night when all the guest and employees left from breaking everything down. Sean and I walked to where we shared our 1st kiss as husband and wife and had one more in private under the moonlight.
One of our absolute FAVORITE moments to capture during weddings are the moments immediately after the ceremony ends. The officiant announces the newly married couple and they run down the aisle in that just married bliss. The hugs and congratulatory tears are always such raw reactions to the vows the couple just took. We can’t get enough of those honest moments!
Jenna’s advice for couples planning their wedding now:
Take breaks from planning and have a no wedding planning day. We were engaged for two years but worked hard to pay for everything and worked on projects that sometimes you miss out on just being engaged. Have a wine and cheese night and just take in the moments. On that note take in moments on your wedding day. At one point my husband and I stopped eating and just looked at our guests enjoying their meals, having a laugh and taking photos of others. The time goes by quickly so taking mental notes and moments can help slow it down a little.
And…
Get a Day-Of Coordinator! Monica was there to help me along the way with ideas, questions and moments that I became overwhelmed with choices. Not to mention on the day of the wedding it was such a breeze being able to just sit back knowing my vision was going to play out exactly how I wanted it.
Sean’s advice:
Expect things to go wrong in the planning process, but maintain a sense of humor and go with the flow. Know that you will make it through and that it’ll be the best day ever for both of you.
If you want to make us veryyyy happy photographers we highly recommend a DIY Avocado Bar and adorable T-Rex cake toppers. Just two more small details from their Winter Park wedding that were so thoughtful and true to Jenna and Sean.
The DJ can make or break a reception and DJ PJ certainly kept the party going at this reception! With several accessory changes and some rockin’ dance moves, he added even more fun flare to Jenna and Sean’s amazing day.
Jenna and Sean decided to donate the flowers from their Winter Park wedding to Winnie Palmer Hospital in honor of their Grandmother who couldn’t be there to celebrate with them. What a wonderful first thing to do together as husband and wife!
Jenna and Sean’s Winter Park wedding was the perfect balance of romance and whimsy. It was a true reflection of who they are as a couple and the kind of mark they want to leave on the world. We can’t wait to see where life takes you!
