On a perfect Florida November day, Karla and Mike said “I do” at their intimate St. Pete backyard wedding. It was a day filled with DIY projects, dolphins, and a ton of happy tears. These two have such an obvious deep love for each other, and their friends and family there that day could not stop smiling at their joy.
Mike was absolutely adorable all day. Anytime I mentioned Karla or he caught a glimpse of her, he was moved to tears at how beautiful she looked and how lucky he was to get to marry her.
As I got Mike into place for their first look I saw his face light up. There was a dolphin playing in the river right next to the dock! That sweet dolphin stuck around their entire first look. Both Karla and Mike said their favorite memory of the day was seeing each other at their first look. They both immediately relaxed and were just glowing together.
This day was the result of a lot of hardwork and DIY projects. Their inspiration for the day was “bringing family and friends together as a team” and everyone really came through. They built their wedding arch and did all of the centerpieces themselves. Dinner was a delicious potluck feast that everyone contributed to. Karla and Mike have a pretty fabulous team in their life!
Karla is officially a Jones now too! Sierra got to be a guest at this wedding and celebrate with her family!
Could these two be any CUTER?! <3
Karla’s advice for brides planning their wedding now is…
Don’t sweat the small stuff. Just go with the flow. It will all work out.
She speaks the truth! When you surround yourself with people who love and support you on your wedding day, they will always pull through and make sure everything comes together. Karla and Mike’s St. Pete backyard wedding was a perfect example of that. Thank you for letting me come hang out with you guys on your beautiful day!
We can’t wait to see where your new chapter as Mr. and Mrs. Jones takes you!
