Usually when you hear “DIY wedding” you assume the couple made the centerpieces, maybe the favors…but when it comes to Amber and Dylan’s big day, they went so far as to build the whole barn!
They did everything from constructing the venue, creating and torching the farm tables, to cutting down oaks from their own property to make the centerpieces. No stone went unturned when it came to creating their DIY Florida barn wedding. They invited their closest family and friends and had an incridible party right in their own back yard!
Their inspiration behind the day is so meaningful. October 4th is the day Amber’s grandfather passed away and they chose to have their wedding on that date to make sure he was still involved. Amber says, “he was truly my best friend.”
Dylan’s favorite moment of the day…
Seeing my bride walk down the aisle.
Amber’s favorite moment of the day…
Looking at my husband before I walked down the aisle and seeing his raw, uncontrollable emotions. He doesn’t cry often but to look into his eyes filled with tears as he recited his vows was truly a moment I will never forget. We also loved having our family and friends witness the best day of our lives this far.
We ♥ an emotional groom!!!
Can you guess the bride’s favorite flower? :)
A little Dumb & Dumber entrance. This was such a fun reception!
Dylan picked the song “Love Your Love The Most” by Eric Church for their first dance song. Eric Church is his favorite singer and he sent the song to Amber years ago when he realized their relationship was becoming more serious. They even had their wedding party sign a vinyl edition of that song for them to keep!
Find you a woman who can do the worm in her wedding dress :P
Amber and Dylan’s DIY Florida barn wedding was truly one-of-a-kind and total tribute to their relationship. Their teamwork and love for life was so apparent all day long. We can’t wait to see where life takes them. Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. O’Brien!

Behind the Scenes!
Here’s Sierra showing off her four-wheeling skills! This was our first wedding back after Sierra welcomed sweet baby Jensen into the world and she KILLED it. In addition to making sure we captured all the important moments of the day, she was also going back and forth to the car to pump on schedule! All hail the queen!
