If you needed proof that fairytale love stories exist, we present to you: Taylor and Nathan’s Amelia Island wedding! Our last big day of 2018 was FULL of love and emotion, which is exactly how a wedding should be. They wanted a Florida wedding that had a winter feel which might sound impossible, but they pulled it off. Taylor and her mother spent the entire year leading up to their big day going into hundreds of different antique stores to make their vision come true. They did all the decor themselves…every mirror, sign, guestbook…even the water goblets! It. was. beautiful.
Nathan truly outdid himself on his gift for Taylor on their wedding day. Her favorite movie is “Serendipity” so he went and bought the book that Kate Beckinsale writes her name in. He carved out all the pages and filled them with photos and letters detailing their love story from their very first date. If that doesn’t say romance, we don’t know what does!
Without knowing, the groomsmen and bridesmaids both did a “hands in” chant before their Amelia Island wedding ceremony. Our favorite photos truly are the unposed ones!
Taylor’s favorite moment of the day:
“Saying my written vows to him also was a moment of shock. I have never expressed my love in such a raw vulnerable way & it was magical for me.”
Nathan’s favorite moments of the day:
“I took a three mile run first thing in the morning that ended at our ceremony location & looking at it & taking it in before everything began. I thought about our future. Seeing Taylor come down from a mile away and feeling like there was nobody there beside her & I.”
When we asked them what set their Amelia Island wedding apart from the rest, their response was perfect.
Two words. THAT SUNSET!!!!!!
The sunset that night over the marsh was truly spectacular.
Taylor and Nathan both said their first dance as husband and wife was one of the surreal parts of the day. Nathan called it an “out of body experience” and Taylor even said, “time truly stood still.”
These two did a fabulous job planning every little detail as a team and it showed in the day. Taylor’s advice for brides planning their wedding now is
“Always, always, ALWAYS remember that this day is for you & your future husband. Include them in the decisions, ask them to pick out the songs they want to hear, let them make some major decisions. This will make them enjoy the day so much more if they are having it the way the want, too!!!!!’
We absolutely agree! Taylor and Nathan share a very special kind of love that was so clear throughout their entire Amelia Island wedding. We can’t wait to see where this next chapter of your love story takes you!
