Megan & Bennett | Plantation on Crystal River Wedding – Crystal River, FL

Megan & Bennett tied the knot at their Plantation on Crystal River wedding surrounded by the people they love most.

Their inspiration for the day was everything they love about Florida. Their favorite hobby is fishing and being on the water. (At their engagement session Bennett even managed to catch a big Bass!)

Bennett’s family used to vacation at the Plantation on Crystal River so it really was the perfect meaningful place for them to say “I do”! These two have been together since high school and it was so incredible to be a part of the beginning of this next chapter in their love story.

When Bennett saw Megan for the first time coming down the aisle, he just could not contain his emotions! We always love an emotional groom :P Megan said her favorite memory from their Crystal River wedding was the moment she saw Bennett at the end of the aisle.

My favorite moment of the day was being so nervous and as soon as I laid my eyes on Bennett everything else around me faded away. Seeing him standing there at the alter made everything so surreal and will forever be the happiest moment of our wedding day.

You really could feel the connection between these two when they finally made it to each other!

Music choice played a special part in Megan and Bennett’s Crystal River wedding. They picked “Wanted” by Hunter Hayes as their first dance song because that was their very first song when they were 14 and 15 years old! They also chose “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” for Megan’s father because she used to play that song on his voicemail when he was working or travelling. How adorable is that?!

We absolutely love sneaking our couples out for sunset portraits! It gives them some extra alone time together and we usually get some of our favorite shots. Those Florida sunsets simply can’t be beat!

Megan’s advice to brides planning their weddings now is,

Don’t get caught up in the guest list and details! Enjoy every second and don’t lose sight of the meaning behind the most special day celebrating marrying your best friend!

We couldn’t agree more! We had such a fabulous time celebrating Megan and Bennett at their Plantation on Crystal River wedding! Hearing all of the stories from their high school days and seeing them take this next step together was amazing. Congratulations to you two! We can’t wait to see where life takes you!
