If I had to use one word to describe Mike and Mallory’s Timacuan wedding it would be elegant. They wanted a traditional wedding that focused on the true meaning of the day. Mike & Mallory both love the outdoors but knew May in Florida is a bit toasty so they opted for a ceremony at the glass chapel at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Apopka, FL. We have never seen a more beautiful chapel. It was the best of both worlds – an indoor venue with a beautiful outdoor view and sunlight beaming in all directions. After the ceremony they hopped in a vintage blue car and headed to Timacuan Golf Club in Lake Mary, FL for their reception. Mallory searched high and low for statement making chandeliers and she sure found them at Timacuan.
Fun story about Mallory’s incredible dress:
“I found my dress in Italy while traveling with my bridesmaid Megan. We stopped in a beautiful boutique in Galatina. With some translation assistance from Megans sister Jocelyn, the designer pointed to a dress at the end of the hall and told me ‘that is your dress but you may try some others first’ After trying some of my selection we moved on to their dress. Megan and Jocelyn were crying and I didn’t want to take it off. The best part of the whole thing is that the dresses are made one of a kind and this dress fit like it was made for me, it made me feel like a princess bride.”
These unconventional blue bridesmaid dresses by BCBG made us prettttty happy!
Mike’s emotion to seeing Mallory for the first time was priceless. I am pretty sure this is what every woman hopes her fiancé’s reaction will be like! ;)
Look at that view!!! We told you, the most beautiful chapel we have EVER seen!
These two look like they stepped straight out of a bridal magazine! And THOSE SHOES!
Their family friend’s car casually matched their wedding colors, not sure it could have been more perfect.
Wedding Tip
Mallory said:
“I didn’t want to throw my wedding flowers away. We used orchid plants as centerpieces and gifted them at the end of the night to all of the wonderful women who had hosted my bridal showers. I also made picture frame table numbers so that I could use them again for my wedding photos.”
We adore the idea of flowers of that don’t have to be thrown away at the end of the night! We are all about reusable/recyclable wedding decor. Major props to Mallory, this was brilliant and looked BEAUTIFUL!
Told ya she found the chandeliers she was looking for!
Mike and Mallory had an artist do fashion sketches of their guests. Such a cool take-home favor!
There was no lack of sweet dance moves here!
Mike & Mallory’s wedding was elegant, unique, but most importantly, it focused on what mattered – the beginning of their journey as husband and wife! We are thrilled to have documented their stunning day.
