Nick & Ashley’s Florida nautical wedding was so perfectly fitting. With lake views and their boat docked right by their ceremony site, it was a water lover’s dream wedding. Their ceremony was held in the backyard Nick grew up on, and the place where Nick and Ashley fell in love! Their ceremony was also lakeside at the Eustis Community Center which provided the perfect place for all their friends and family to party the night away! It was truly was one of the most customized weddings we have photographed. Just wait til’ you see their centerpieces!
Hair & makeup was done by the talented, Kara – owner of LaRue Kay Salon…also a previous bride of ours :)
I included the below photo to mention: brides, you HAVE to eat the morning of your wedding! I know the nerves are going and that’s the last thing on your mind, but a sandwich platter in the getting ready room is a God-send. Consider that an insider tip…and GOLDFISH!
How pretty are these maids?! Oh and there’s another SFP bride, Jordan, on the far right! :))
One of Nick’s favorite moments was hanging with his guys before the wedding. Far right groomsman, Brock, is a prior SFP groom!
Nick & Ashley exchanged letters during their “first touch.” Such a sweet moment.
Loved this shot of Ashley & her Dad ♥
How perfect is this ceremony view? I may or may not have asked the owners if I could live there :P
Right when the ceremony ended Nick & Ashley jumped on their boat which was Ashley’s favorite part of the day! Annnnd THAT is why I love these two.
Holy hotties!
Popping bottles Lake County style ;)
Favorite bouquet shot ever? Yep.
Ashley said,
“Nick and I spent hours making almost every detail in our wedding, we created the center pieces to look like dock pilings, we picked out trees in the Ocala forest that had been cut down and stripped the bark to make our arbor. Nick built an actual wooden boat to be our bar, and he built our photo booth which we made look like an old bait shop.”
Their DIY decor was seriously impressive!
Oh yea, and they did a choreographed first dance!
“We took lessons for two months and rearranged our house so we had a dance floor to practice every night.”
Thank you two from the bottom of our hearts for choosing us to document your journey. From the proposal, to the engagement photos, to the wedding…we have loved capturing every step!
