Sweetwater Branch Inn Wedding | Byron & Carley | Gainesville Wedding Photographer

This year for Halloween we dressed up as ninja photographers, (so basically how we dress every weekend) and got to document Carley and Byron’s Gainesville wedding! We know a lot of you had parties, costume contests, and trick-or-treaters, but I’m telling you, none of it was as fun as this wedding. Not that it’s a competition or anything…though if it was, Byron and Carley win. Tying the knot at Sweetwater Branch Inn, these two combined their love of the holiday with their love for each other. Every detail was subtle and sweet and so fitting with their personalities, we were in awe.

Carley said:

“Originally we did not even think of Halloween as an option for our wedding since we love celebrating it so much. However, it turned out to be the only day in October we could get all of the vendors we wanted to work out. We then decided there was no better way to celebrate a day we love than a wedding!”
Carley’s gorgeous momma is also a florist, she and her team from Ariel’s Florist did an INCREDIBLE job on the decor and bouquets. 




Sir Jack Daniel is the ever-reliable honorary groomsman ;) 






Right before the ceremony each of them had a quiet moment to read letters from one another. As soon as they finished reading they both said “his/hers was better.” ♥

Carley said:

“Since both of us work full-time, we didn’t have a whole lot of extra time for DIY projects but one of our bridesmaids Emily hand drew all of our chalkboard signs for us, which was absolutely amazing! Including our “No Pictures” sign for our ceremony. We highly recommend all brides to have an unplugged ceremony as well! You would much rather see the faces of your guests looking back at you rather than a phone or camera.”

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. And THIS is why we LOOOOOVE you guys. This is probably our favorite sign ever!

Did we mention Carley and Byron met on their college quidditch team at UF? Yes, that’s a thing!

Is Halloween without pumpkins even really Halloween at all?






Carley said:

“Our main concern was just to make sure that everyone had a ton of fun so everything we picked, we chose with that in mind. At the same time, we also wanted to make sure the night maintained that wedding feel instead of it feeling like just another Halloween party. We put a lot of effort into picking right elements that would bring Halloween into our wedding, without it being cheesy, and that made all the difference.”

We agree!

As the great Dumbledore once said, “We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided.” Carley and Byron, we are so happy you two are now united, and so thankful we were there to capture it!
