If you’re like me, when you hear the words “backyard wedding,” you may think of a casual picnic-style affair. However, there was nothing unplanned about Travis & Danielle’s elegant wedding. They converted their entire back yard to a sophisticated, perfectly constructed wedding venue! When I asked Danielle, what made her wedding unique she said,
“Our venue! All of the blood, sweat, & tears that went into our backyard. Even though we spent the last 6 months or so reconstructing and redesigning our backyard to have the perfect venue. I get to walk out every day and be reminded of our day. Not many people can say that!”
Danielle’s beautiful daughter.
Favorite moments of the day:
Danielle – “My favorite memory was definitely seeing Travis for our first look. He cried! I didn’t think he could be so emotional.” Travis- “My favorite memories were seeing my beautiful wife walk down the isle and opening a special gift and note before the ceremony.”
LOOK at this beautiful backdrop necklace Daniell wore. A feather, to coordinate with their feather wedding decorations.
At the beginning of the aisle, Danielle and Travis constructed a beautiful memory table to honor the loved ones not with them. They also played “You should be here” by Cole Swindell which had everyone teary eyed.
Travis and Danielle have an ISLAND in their back yard! That is where the ceremony was held. It was perfection.
“We knew that God was our biggest influence in this day from our cross for an altar to the bible verses. The feathers that were tied in and on display were based on a bible verse for Psalm 91. The Bible verse picture frames that line the wedding aisle are definitely my favorite DIY project. I plan to hang those around our house.”
Danielle and Travis looked like they were floating on a cloud during their first dance! Danielle said, “we took dance lessons for almost 5 months for our first dance to “From the Ground Up” by Dan + Shay. A lot went into this dance and we are going to continue to dance with Arthur Murray’s in Winter Park.”
Danielle’s beautiful sister, Cara is also an SFP bride! Her wedding is in March and we already can’t wait! :D
Have we mentioned how much we love working with the ladies of Our DJ Rocks? Just look at that dance floor! ;)
Travis and Danielle, thank you both SO much for your kind hearts and for choosing us to document this momentous day. We will never forget it! We wish you and your family all the happiness you can handle!
