You’re in luck because that’s Alex & Jay’s Sandpearl Resort wedding in Clearwater Beach! These two met at the Harley Davidson shop where Alex worked. Jay came to get his bike worked on, and Alex caught his attention with her beauty and wit! After several more trips to the shop for “bike maintenance,” Jay convinced Alex to go on a date and the rest is history! Their wedding was infused with their awesome style. Plan It Events made sure the day flowed seamlessly and Alex and Jay were overflowing with love for one another, the recipe for an amazing day.

Many couples, (grooms especially) are apprehensive about doing first looks. They are unsure about seeing one another before that long-imagined moment of walking down the aisle, but almost all of our couples who do them say that it was their favorite part of the day! Jay said,

“I was positioned facing away from her entrance point. My emotions began to build thinking about turning around. Just then, I hear the voice of the woman I have fallen in love with. As she calls out to me I take a deep breath and swallow hard in an attempt to maintain my composure. As I spin around my eye’s fall upon the most beautiful woman ever, standing there looking back at me in her amazing wedding dress. Our eye’s locked and we embraced each other. My attempts to maintain composure washed away by the flood of emotions and tears of joy. As I thought to myself ” I’m holding in my arms the woman I’m going to spend the rest of my life with. Who I’ll have an amazing family with” That moment will be with me forever.”

Ahhhh and yes it was THAT sweet.

Alex agreed,

“My favorite memory of the day, without a doubt was our first look. Jay and I were a little skeptical of doing this, but after long conversations, not only between us, but with our planner and our photographer, we decided to go for it! And I have to tell you, it was the best decision of the day!”

In true Alex & Jay fashion, they played rock, paper scissors to decide who would read their vows first :)

The love is so obvious between these two. They were locked into each other like this all day!

The decor was done in impeccable taste and was unique to Alex and Jay’s style. Alex said,

“There was no beachy or nautical motifs aside from a beautiful, custom made sandcastle. Which we feel is different because anytime you hear “beach wedding” you automatically think you are going to be overwhelmed with starfish, sailors knots, and navy and white stripes all over the place. Instead, we kind of took the vintage, French country to the beach; Best idea ever.”
