Birmingham Alabama Wedding | Andy & Lauren | Destination Wedding Photographer

Posted By: Sierra

Are you ready to see the perfect couple who planned a peeerfect destination wedding in 3 months? These two got engaged on Valentine’s Day last year but were unable to plan the wedding due to the uncertainty of Andy’s military schedule. Sooo when Lauren finally got military dates, she emailed us in SEPTEMBER to see if we were available for a DECEMBER wedding…the week before Christmas. Oh yea, and the wedding was going to be in Alabama! Challenge accepted ;)2016-01-06_0001.jpg

Lauren’s Favorite moment of the day:

“Walking down the stair case to my soon-to-be husband was so exciting. it was a few moments before the craziness where it was just us.”

Andy & Lauren chose to hold their wedding in Alabama because that’s where Andy’s officer graduation was being held. After searching online, Andy came across the Renaissance Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa which turned out to be absolute perfection.

With so many military members at their wedding, Andy’s brother requested Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA (Proud to be an American)” as the last song. This created Andy’s favorite moment of the wedding. Lauren said,

“Andy and I slow danced in the middle while our friends and family circled around us and we shouted the lyrics of Proud to be an American. It was incredibly special.”

First and foremost thank you BOTH for your service to our country. We know being in the military can make planning a wedding challenging but you guys nailed it. We are so happy to have captured this picture perfect wedding for you and your families.

Lauren’s tip for bride’s planning now:

“Choose vendors that you’re confident in. I didn’t spend a second of my wedding day worried about my hair and make up or how my pictures would turn out because I had 100% faith in my photographer and H&M artist. I did a lot of research on my florist, DJ, and bakery too! With websites like wedding wire and the knot, you can definitely find what you’re looking for!”
