Southern Doe Lake Wedding | Lindsey & Hunter | Orlando Wedding Photographer

Posted By: Sierra

Whew! There is so much I want to say about this breathtaking southern wedding, I don’t even know where to start! I guess a good backstory would be that I have known the bride, Lindsey, since kindergarten. We grew up together in our small town so I have watched her go from my classmate, to Hunter’s soulmate, to a mother, now a wife, and of course climb a few mountains in between! This day was much anticipated by everyone who knows them, so it was bound to be an amazing celebration of the life and family these two have created. Lindsey’s approach to her southern wedding decor was: simplicity. In her words,

“I’m a believer that less is more, I didn’t want the normal southern/country/mason jar/ rustic wedding so I went for a more simplistic approach! Have you ever heard the saying the devil is in the details? Well details we did have! I was going for more of a romantic feel and I was shocked when I walked in for the first time! My mom, fiancé, grandparents etc did an amazing job. I showed them a handful of pictures and they truly made my vision come to life!!! What really made it special was that it was done with love and by my entire family. It cost us less than $7,000 for our entire wedding and you would have never known. Looked like something straight out of a magazine.”

Her friends and family truly did an INCREDIBLE job turning the simple Doe Lake Campground in Umatilla, Florida into a romantic dream wedding.

Lindsey’s Sherri Hill dress was unique and absolutely beautiful. People were ooh’ing and ahh’ing over it the entire day! I was also kind of obsessed with the cotton bud accents on their table settings.

Lindsey & Hunter’s entire family really transformed this lodge. Her mother is pretty much a professional decorator if you can’t tell!

Probably some of the coolest lure boutonnieres I have ever seen! And very fitting for these southern boys.

2015-10-08_0017.jpgAnother one of my favorite details from Lindsey and Hunter’s wedding day was the perfectly styled kid’s tables.

“I wanted my weddings to be kid friendly because I have kids and I understand! So right along with everyone else’s table was a kiddy table, completely stocked with coloring books, crayons, fun party stuff and their own little center piece and place settings. I love kids and wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. We have tons of kiddos in our family so I wanted them all to feel included and happy!”

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed lemonade, the s’mores bar, and lawn games!

A prayer with Dad before the ceremony. ♥

I don’t think these little flower girls could get much cuter, in their lacy dresses made by Posh Peanut Children’s Boutique!

So I have to give major props to my Dad on this one, he owns Ford’s Tree Service, and he provided these stumps for their ceremony altar! I’m pretty sure he had no idea they’d come out looking like this! :P

Lindsey’s favorite moment of the day:

“I know it sounds so cliche but literally walking down the aisle to my soul mate! The father of my children! It truly is an indescribable feeling!”
